A community entrepreneur came up with an idea to help students learn how to create their own business as well as help offset school expenses. Proceeds from the business will help students engage in educational activities.
We are a rural K-12 school with less than 500 students.
We flourish in a setting where four year olds can see and admire big brothers and sisters when they pass in the hallways.
Our graduating classes contain between 35 and 40 students.
We are a place "where everyone knows your name!"
The only down side to a small school is budget constraints. We have always had budget constraints but with the state of the national economy, it has become more difficult to maintain our independance.
We love being able to offer field trips and athletic games but we need funds to do them.
Our small community is bombarded with at least one fundraiser from every 9-12 class. They also support such organizations as FOTA (Friends of the Arts), Booster Club (athletic programs), PTA (parent-teacher), Safety Patrol (annual trip to Washington, D.C. for 6th graders), and our Yearbook.
Our goal with this business is to continue being a small school and still provide quality extra curricular activities.
Thank you for your support in achieving this goal.
